Commander's Message

Welcome to our website.

The American Legion is a veteran’s organization dedicated to continuing service. Our Post exemplifies this is many ways.

This year we are beginning an Auxiliary chapter, consisting of eligible mothers, daughters, and spouses, to further our community outreach programs.

The American Legion, The Ladies Auxiliary, Son’s of The American Legion, and related groups are faced with the challenge of serving both the needs of our aging veteran population and the needs of younger veterans now returning home. Lumberton and the surrounding areas have always been blessed by our young people. Today, almost 100 of our young residents are serving in harm’s way.

The William Hoy Curtis Post 72 and Ladies Auxiliary once again answer the call to duty.

Please visit our links. We have photos of past events, and links of interest to veterans and the general population. Please contact us if we can serve you in any way, or if you are interested in serving with us.

For God and Country
