My Thoughts
Veteran's Day is important to me because it reminds me of all the men and women who went into battle, even though the odds were against them. They fought bravely, and to the bitter end.
It reminds me of the lost lives at the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The thirty thousand lives diminished when America alone stood up in the dark to light a flame for other countries when theirs had been snuffed out.
Veteran's Day reminds the innocent people, fireman, police officers and others that helped out of the twin towers trying their best to save one another from some twisted men's plot, and who came to help us no one did.
The men and women who were struck down in the scorching sands of Afghanistan, and the soldiers that are continuously being struck down in the once tormented cities of Saddam Hussein's wrath.
Although, to most children, Veteran’s Day means that there is a free day off of school, to me it means something different.
It is the day in which all of America, the first nation to be founded under God to cry out to him in a voice of thanksgiving that he has allowed us to become as strong and prosperous of a nation that we truly are only because of his grace.
May America due to her veterans stand in the tunnel of darkness and light a path unto to the entire world, so that they might also lead the way for other generations to come.
Freedom, Justice, Civil Rights, Reverence, Faith, Hope, Love, and Compassion are at war, and I feel comfortable to say that God is not neutral in this war.
Stand strong and proud America so that others may follow in your footsteps.
Never give up, never surrender, and never let evil emerge victorious over justice.
Thanks for all you have done for me veterans because there is no way that I can repay you for all you have done for me.
God bless you and God bless America.
