On August 21, 2003, we held a reception for all the Lumberton area veterans. The purpose was twofold, we wanted to provide a chance to just visit, and we also wanted to introduce Pete Landolt – Hardin County Veterans Services Coordinator. Pete shared with us many new and important changes to our veterans’ benefits.
Just as the reception was beginning, a terrible thunderstorm opened up, making it impossible for some to attend, but 25 brave and hearty souls were able to make it.
The Red Onion, Novrozsky’s, HEB Food Pantry, Camille Philp, and Anne McOsker provided a delicious snack table.
Crazy Jose’s donated five $10 gift coupons, that were given out by a random drawing.
It was a very fun and informative evening, and we look forward to doing this again.
